MUSIC DOCUMENTARY HIGH AND DRY PREMIERES IN LOS ANGELES
Film about Tucson, Arizona’s rock scene debuts at Allison Anders’ Don’t Knock The Rock Film Festival

Los Angeles, CA (June 22, 2006) – Upstairs Film has just announced the music documentary High and Dry, a feature film exploring Tucson, Arizona’s music scene, will screen at Don’t Knock The Rock (DKTR) Film And Music Festival. The show will take place on Sunday, July 2, at 5:30 pm at the Redcat Theater at The Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Tickets are $10 and are on sale online at www.redcat.org or at the Redcat Box Office (213) 237-2800. Following the screening, Director Michael Toubassi will be in attendance for a Q&A to.

“It’s a thrill to be making our L.A. premiere at filmmaker Allison Anders’ festival. Allison and her daughter Tiffany are unbelievably supportive of true independent film and music,” Toubassi said.

Tucson has been a hotbed of musical talent for more than 20 years, fostering a thriving music scene with a growing reputation. This music documentary pays tribute to some of the influential and eclectic musicians that make up the Tucson music community, including Giant Sand, original cow-punk Al Perry, seminal blues guitarist Rainer Ptacek, Supersuckers, Calexico, Machines of Loving Grace and more.

High and Dry captures the spirit and the talent of the Tucson music scene—where the desert meets rock ‘n’ roll.
