Our Neighbors To The North Are Getting HIGH AND DRY Toronto, ON CANADA (May 30, 2006) – Upstairs Film is excited to announce that the music documentary High And Dry, a feature film exploring Tucson, Arizona’s music scene, will screen at the North By NorthEast (NXNE) Music And Film Festival. The show will take place on Friday, June 9th at 2:00 pm at the National Film Board Cinema, 150 Johns Street "It's thrilling to make our Canadian premiere at this outstanding music and film festival, alongside such other noted music docs like Stewart Copeland's " Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out," Toubassi said. Tucson has been a hotbed of musical talent for more than 20 years, fostering a thriving music scene with a growing reputation. This music documentary pays tribute to some of the influential and eclectic musicians that make up the Tucson music community, including Giant Sand, original cow-punk Al Perry, seminal blues guitarist Rainer Ptacek, Supersuckers, Calexico, Machines Of Loving Grace, and more. High And Dry captures the spirit and the talent of the Tucson music scene – where the desert meets rock ‘n’ roll!
