HIGH AND DRY AT REEL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Special Screening Of Tucson Music Documentary High And Dry – Giant Sand To Perform
Los Angeles, CA & Portland, OR – (January 3, 2006) – Upstairs Film is very pleased to announce a special preview of the music documentary High And Dry, screening January 13th and 14th in Portland as a part of the 23rd Reel Music Festival.
High And Dry explores Tucson, Arizona’s influential and eclectic music community through interviews and performances from many local heroes, including Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), Joey Burns and John Convertino (Calexico), Eddie Spaghetti (Supersuckers), Bob Log III (Doo Rag, Bob Log III), David Slutes (Sidewinders/Sand Rubies), and others. High And Dry captures the spirit and the talent of Tucson music scene – where the desert meets rock ‘n’ roll.
Screening Details:
January 13th and 14th at the Guild Theater, 829 SW 9th Avenue in downtown Portland.
Show times are 7:00pm on January 13th and a 4:00pm matinee on January 14th. The film’s director Michael Toubassi will be in attendance for both screenings.
