Welcome to the Tucson Rock Tree Database (TRTdb) formerly known as Fonda’s Family Tree, named after it’s originator, a local cowgirl and former punk rocker Fonda Hamiliton.

This database so far only covers bands and musicians that began from around 1975 to 2001.  The music covered within these pages is mostly Tucson rock and it’s many eclectic variations.  It was not intended to include the other types of Tucson music in pure form such as Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Country or Classical.  But of course these genres and styles influence and do appear within the bands listed herein.

It is or has been intended to include all forms of Punk Rock, Folk/Blues Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock, Indie Pop/Rock, Ska, Industrial, Techno, Dance and Electronica, as well as Alternative Country.

A few qualifications do apply to the vast majority of the bands in the database:

• The band/musician had to play at least one recognized/established venue, club or event.
• The band/musician had to release at least a 7/12inch vinyl album or single, CD or CT, or be included on a compilation, soundtrack, locally or nationally.  You could even have circualted an awesome demo tape.
• The band/members/musician had to live in Tucson or within the metro area for at least 2 years.

If you or your band fits in to at least 2 of these then, you are welcome to send your info in be included.  Before you do, search the database for your self and/or band cuz it’s very likely that it might already be in the TRT.

If you do find your band and any details are incorrect or missing, email changes to us, so the band list can be as up-to-date and accurate as possible.
